Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Carlisle County, Kentucky. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
