Stainless steel welder — Decatur County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Decatur County, Kansas. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
