Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
