We are recruiting: lifting rigger (Maryland)

Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Kent County, Maryland. You will be based at a shipyard. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; guide loads through tight openings into their final position. You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Full-time, day shift.
