GTAW welder wanted in Knox County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Knox County, Kentucky. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Full-time with occasional weekends.
