Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Gonzales County, Texas. The role involves: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience.
