Machinist — Aitkin County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a machinist in Aitkin County, Minnesota. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers $26 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
