Trainee butcher wanted in Watauga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Watauga County, North Carolina. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate The role involves trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
