Industrial sewing operator — Beaufort County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day to day you will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $24 per hour plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
