Heavy equipment operator — Saint Landry Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a plant hire yard. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles Ideal candidate: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
