Immediate opening: glazing fabricator (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a glazing fabricator in Cook County, Illinois. You will be based in a glazing and curtain wall company. Ideal candidate: • Able to read shop drawings and work to given sizes • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding and ladders • Physically able to lift and carry heavy glass and profiles Your main tasks: • Load and offload fabricated units without scratching the finish • Crimp the corner joints and fit corner cleats on the crimping machine • Install glass panels and secure them with glazing beads • Fit EPDM rubber gaskets and beading into the glazing channels • Drill, tap and rivet sections and fix with self-drilling screws At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
