We are recruiting: MIG welder (Louisiana)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a MIG welder in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Full-time, day shift.
