Requirements: • Good eye for measurement and a steady hand • Knowledge of toughened, laminated and double-glazed units Your main tasks: • Apply putty, silicone and glazing tape to bed the glass • Fit double-glazed sealed units into frames • Replace cracked or broken window panes • Handle large panes using suction cups and a lifting frame • Measure window and door openings and order glass to size • Grind and polish cut edges to take off the sharp arris Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
