Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Yoakum County, Texas. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours.
