Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Hidalgo County, Texas. You will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
