We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Yamhill County, Oregon. The job is on an industrial construction site. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
