Sand plant operator — Livingston County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Livingston County, Illinois. The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
