Trowel-trade bricklayer • Crockett County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Crockett County, Texas. The job is on a busy housing site. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
