Immediate opening: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Orleans County, Vermont. Requirements: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On a typical shift you will set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints.
