Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in McLean County, Illinois. You will work at a busy machine shop. You should have: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls Your main tasks: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits.
