We are recruiting: foundry operative (New Mexico)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Eddy County, New Mexico. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
