Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On a typical shift you will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
