Precision welder — Tyler County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Tyler County, West Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Performance bonus on top of base pay.
