Urgent requirement: tailor machinist (Texas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Brazoria County, Texas. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
