Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in Alpine County, California. On the job you will handle: • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Check finished products for colour, crumb and weight • Score the top of loaves before baking What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
