Vertical transportation technician wanted in Douglas County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Douglas County, Illinois. You will work at a busy lift company. You will service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts; run load and overload tests with test weights; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers. Requirements: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
