Bar bender and fixer wanted in Appanoose County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Appanoose County, Iowa. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Day-to-day duties: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
