Vacancy available: we are hiring a dogger in Greene County, North Carolina. The job is at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket The role involves: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
