Reinforcement fitter • Marshall County, Kentucky

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Marshall County, Kentucky. The job is on a busy residential building site. You should have: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing On the job you will handle: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
