Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Umuahia South, Abia State. Day-to-day duties: • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports What we are looking for: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
