Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Swift County, Minnesota. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Rotating shifts.
