Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in City of York, England. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Day to day you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
