Argon welder — Mingo County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Mingo County, West Virginia. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Rotating shifts.
