Garden maintenance worker • Gregory County, South Dakota

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garden maintenance worker in Gregory County, South Dakota. You will work in a botanical garden. Day-to-day duties: • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe Requirements: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
