Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Culpeper County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion Part-time with flexible hours.
