Pipe tig welder • Jim Wells County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Jim Wells County, Texas. You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 6+ years on the tools preferred.
