Steel erection rigger — Gloucestershire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Gloucestershire, England. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
