Production welder — San Mateo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a production welder in San Mateo County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness What we are looking for: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
