Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
