Brick and block layer — Yagba East

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Yagba East, Kogi State. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Your main tasks: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
