Now hiring: we are hiring a mason's helper in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker Ideal candidate: • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
