MIG welder — Cameron Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG welder in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. You should have: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
