Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently The role involves: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator 4+ years on the tools preferred.
