You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments.
