Great opportunity: we are hiring a chiller technician in Orkney Islands, Scotland. The role involves charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns £2,250 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
