Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. The role involves: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level 4+ years on the tools preferred.
