Join our team: we are hiring a bench joiner in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. The role involves: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
