Urgent requirement: access control officer (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring an access control officer in City of Winchester, Virginia. On a typical shift you will operate the metal detector and hand-held scanner at the door; monitor the CCTV screens in the control room; detain shoplifters or trespassers and hand them over to police; control crowds and manage queues at events and entry gates; check fire exits, locks, gates and seals during rounds; keep watch on the perimeter fence and parking area. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years experience as a security guard • Basic reading of English and local language for registers • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours Full-time with occasional weekends.
