Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in McCulloch County, Texas. You will be based at a high-rise construction project. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Your main tasks: • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
