Join our team: we are hiring a banksman in Coffee County, Georgia. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather You will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area.
